Continue the full 10-14 day treatment course regardless of how quickly visible spots clear, since embedded parasites still under the skin haven't been exposed to medication yet. Stopping early is the single most common reason Ich returns within a week of apparent recovery.
2 Fish are stressed or gasping after raising temperature for Ich treatment.
Higher temperature reduces dissolved oxygen, so add an air stone or increase surface agitation as soon as you raise temperature for treatment. Raise temperature gradually, roughly 1°C/2°F per hour, rather than jumping immediately to the target range.
3 Used salt treatment but scaleless fish (loaches, certain catfish) are showing signs of stress.
